Molecular and Cell Biology Honors Thesis at UC Berkeley
I completed an Honors thesis for the Molecular and Cell Biology Department at UC Berkeley. Working under the guidance of a postgraduate researcher, I conducted a literature review, designed experiments, and analyzed the data. I received a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship award to continue my research during the summer and created a presentation to present my findings at the fellowship’s symposium.
Social Influences on Sustainability Practices
I conducted a pyschology research study for a class in UC Berkeley’s Psychology Department to examine the effect of perceptions of social influence on sustainability practices. For the project, I conducted a literature review, wrote and executed a survey study, and analyzed the resulting data.
The results of the study found slight, but not significant, correlations between social influences and sustainability practices.
Recovery and Empathetic Connection through Trauma Narratives
I wrote this academic paper to analyze the use of narrative, camera movement, and shot types to depict trauma recovery and empathy in the film Hiroshima mon amour.
Influences of the Formation of Second Generation Identities
I wrote this research paper for a final project for an Anthropology class at UC Berkeley to explore the formation of identity in second generation immigrants.
